HOLIDAY Our period-instrument orchestra returns for the period-perfect Messiah you love, this year including rarely heard arias and choruses from Part II.
WINTER Steinway artist Lura Johnson is the featured soloist in the return of our popular Made in Baltimore event celebrating Baltimore music and musicians. Lura and Handel Choir will perform a newly commissioned work by Baltimore composer Daniel Sabzghabaei, based on a libretto drawn from the poetry of Baltimore writer and abolitionist Frances Harper, as well as works by other established Baltimore composers.
SPRING Chamber ensemble Third Practice provides solos for Baroque gems by Handel, Bach, and Monteverdi and brings a newly commissioned work by Baltimore-born composer Jasmine Barnes that plays off those Baroque compositions.
